On its route to a terminus in the County Town of Whiminster, the main line of the Portersfoote Bunting Light Railway negotiates sundry sinuous back alleys and lanes where many local businesses are served by private sidings. Tucked away in one of these quiet corners is the Wellington Boot Tread Cutting Company and we can only guess at what actually takes place within its tumbledown premises.
